Luxor to Aswan
Some of my friends would say a highlight of the dahabiya cruise—and definitely not offered by the larger river ships—was swimming in the Nile. I am too much of a germophobe to try that. You knew it was mealtime when a crew member walked around the ship ringing a little bell.

All of the tour guides were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Movenpick MS DARAKUM was a fabulous trip. The choice of sites we visited was excellent and the guides made the trip a superb experience. We just finished an amazing Nile River Cruise with the Historia cruise ship. What a fantastic experience, from the grace and friendly crew to the food and classy accommodation and decor. We boarded Movenpick MS Darakum in Cairo, a nice boat with comfortable cabins, and a large sundeck with a large swimming pool.

There were a few Americans there as well. The food in both countries is delicious.Thank you for making our 3rd anniversary so good. I just came back from the Nile Goddess Nile Cruise Tour from Luxor to Aswan, and it was an amazing experience. The ship was beautiful, with spacious cabins and elegant decor. I huge thanks goes to all the staff at Memphis Tours that made Christmas this year very special for me and my family. I have to highly recommend this five-day tour with Memphis Tours. My wife and I had the chance to take the 3-day Abu Simbel to Aswan cruise aboard Prince Abbas. An unforgettable trip to the Holy lands where Jesus took his trip. The kids really enjoyed there time and learnt so much. Great experience, both guides, and drivers were really kind and helpful.
But the 9 of us on this boat watched the endless parade of huge cruise liners and just felt smug. Be warned that if there is not enough wind you will be towed as there is no engine on board. But the 'tuggi tuggi' is on a long tow rope, and the engine noise was not an issue. Waking up and opening the shutter so I could sit in bed and watch the Nile go past, with egrets and pied kingfishers right outside was the perfect start to the day. Day 2 » Edfu – Wadi el ShatSail for Edfu and visit the temple of Horus, the best-preserved of all the temples in Egypt. We travelled in a comfortable minibus and had a very competent driver.Although there is no engine on the boat there are two generators which make a low level droning noise which can be disturbing at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip which was worth the wait. Stunning temples, service with big smiles, and total serenity.
